Description:

Located within the magnificent natural Patagonian landscape, near San Martín de los Andes, Chapelco Golf Club is honored to have the first golf course in South America designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II, who designed this 18-hole course taking advantage of the wavy land and the panoramic view of the area. Most of the selected grass seeds were imported and certified in Oregon (USA); they are the best breed seeds. Designed according to USGA regulations, it features 73 starting tees and 65 bunkers. The up-to-date Toro irrigation system has a Site Pro Central Control, more than 1100 sprinklers, CDS decoders, and state-of-the-art pump stations. A full drainage system in tees, fairways, bunkers, and greens prevents flooding in rainy seasons. The driving range and the putting green were designed in a way that the golfer could appreciate an ideal panoramic view. Chapelco Golf Club will be part of Jack Nicklaus International Golf Club (JNIGC) net shortly, which includes more than 100 golf courses designed by Nicklaus Design all over the world.
